Jac Gallagher, BCom MIPA
Jac uses her Xero expertise to build systems that simplify workflows and the lives of small business owners. As a wife, a mum to three gorgeous kids, and also a business owner, she knows how busy life can get and understands the pressures of small business.
“I love helping people simplify their businesses so they can get on and enjoy their lives. The simpler the better is my philosophy to work and life.”
Jac, as a BAS Agent, personally reviews all BAS returns lodged by Notch Above Bookkeeping. She helps clients gain valuable insights into the health of their business by demystifying the numbers for them, helping clients better manage their cash flow so that they can plan for the future.
In her spare time you will find Jac outdoors enjoying the beach or a bush walk. Otherwise her personal time is spent reading a good book or furthering her knowledge about best business practices.
Annie is the first person who processes a client’s file and ensures that all the systems and processes are set up correctly. She works closely with clients during those initial weeks and months to ensure the best result for the client. Annie is also the go-to person for our personalised Xero training and support.
Annie is a Xero certified bookkeeper and takes pride in putting the puzzle pieces together to get the numbers right for our clients, enabling the completion of BAS returns and meaningful management reports.
One of Annie’s favourite quotes is by towering self-help titan Tony Robbins “If you do what you’ve always done, you’ll get what you’ve always gotten.” It perfectly encapsulates Annie’s attitudes to how she likes to work in that Annie is always trying new ways to solve problems.
Raising money for good causes is a particular passion of hers. Recently she helped put on a fundraising event to raise money for a school for underprivileged kids in Bali, Indonesia.
Xero Accounts Specialist
Joanne Collins, BBus(Accy)CPA
Joanne works like a silent partner in a client’s business, tuning herself into the needs of a business and using her knowledge of Xero to put all the pieces of a business puzzle together.
Joanne takes a business through the whole cycle of Xero from installation, training, and procedures, to bookkeeping, and support.
“I take enormous pride in my chosen profession as the work I do helps bring order to businesses, which in turn brings order to people’s lives. I love it when everything is in balance–both work and life.”
She believes that focusing on the positives is essential to success, as expressed in her favourite quote by Henry Ford: “Whether you think you can or you can’t, you’re probably right.”
Outside of work Joanne loves to travel, specifically wandering the back streets of the world. She also has a passion for cycling.
Xero Accounts Specialist
Carolyn Mann, BCom CPA
Carolyn Mann is a qualified accountant, CPA, and registered BAS Agent; working with clients to ensure their BAS returns are completed accurately and on time. She really enjoys getting an understanding of clients businesses and processes to help streamline the bookkeeping.
Carolyn is a steadfast believer in creating the right mental state; “As you think so you shall become” is the epitome that resonates most.
When she’s not working Carolyn can usually be found at various sporting venues around town (she’s a mum to 4 busy kids) plus an exercise buff herself and is a keen follower of a few sports too.
Xero Accounts Specialist
Sue Megaw, DipMgt
Sue Megaw is a Xero certified bookkeeper priding herself on her determination and attention to detail. Sue helps clients using Xero process bank reconciliations and complete their BAS returns.
“Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life” is a quote by Confucius and really sums up Sue’s worth ethic and overall upbeat attitude. Committed to self-improvement and a life-long learner; Sue holds a Diploma of Management, Diploma of Business Administration and is currently completing a Certificate IV in Financial Services (Accounting).
When she’s not studying, Sue uses a lot of her downtime for family (a self-confessed “rugby-union mum”) and is also passionate about reading, travel, home design and renovations.
Natasha Henderson, BB
Natasha provides bookkeeping services ranging from entering invoices and preparing BAS statements to creating balance sheets and profit and loss reports.
Natasha thinks that this quote by Apple founder, Steve Jobs, does well to describe how she works with clients: “Our work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do.” Natasha sets the mark for herself very high and always works to exceed it.
